Christmas in the Cotswolds

Christmas in the Cotswolds is magical, and with just a couple of weeks to go until the big day, we've recommended some of our favourite things to do!

Visit Blenheim Palace

As well as being simply stunning, there's so much to do at Blenheim Palace. From tours of the rooms, wondering the grounds to see their 'spectacle of light' and visiting their many festive pop-up stalls, grab a hot choc and wrap up in your favourite Cotswold Fox jumper for a lovely day out.

Head to a Cotswolds Christmas market

Where do we start with Christmas markets! Is there anything better than browsing beautifully made delights from independent businesses whilst indulging in one too many cups of mulled wine?

Some of our favourite markets:

  • Cheltenham Christmas Market
  • Bath Christmas Market
  • Broadway Late Night Christmas market
  • Cirencester Christmas Market

Westonbirt Arboretum's Enchanted Christmas

We love Westonbirt, fabulous at any time of year but especially at Christmas with the forest being beautifully lit up. The trees come alive with amazing light displays and installations which trace out a pathway through the woods. This is a brilliant one to take the children to as the Westonbirt elves cause havoc which makes for a very entertaining performance!
