My first blog: Four months of Cotswold Fox!

I cannot BELIEVE it's only been 4 months since I launched my first product: 10 small and 10 medium Sapphire Blue Quarter Zips!

This is going to sound totally cliché, but I really didn't expect to be where we are now, with 5 collections, 21 products and over 500 orders from my absolutely wonderful customers, what a completely incredible and unexpected whirlwind it's been so far!

I thought I'd start a regular blog, to provide an insight into the daily running of a start-up small business as a 23 year old student. I have to admit, I still feel very new to the 'running your own business' game, and I wish I could say that it's been plain sailing...! However, each hurdle overcome has been a huge learning curve, from clothes designing errors, to illegitimate providers, I wouldn't change a thing about my journey so far.

My main problem is impatience, which I'm sure my family and friends will confirm! There are so many ideas buzzing around my brain and I have to restrain myself from investing every penny of my savings and getting carried away, I never thought I'd get so excited about quarter zips and polo shirts!

The highlights so far have definitely been creating my (shortly to be released) Cirencester Quarter Zip from scratch, I worked closely with a supplier to design something completely unique and when the sample arrived I was over the moon. I also absolutely loved running my first trade-stand at Cirencester Park Polo, being a student at the RAU it was the perfect place to start, combining horses, Pimm's and Cotswold Fox, what an idyllic afternoon!

However, the biggest highlight has to be all of you, my phenomenal supporters. Again, at the risk of sounding cliché, it really wouldn't be Cotswold Fox without each one of you. I can't thank you all enough for putting your trust into such a new brand and for all your hugely kind and spurring feedback, it's your lovely messages, emails and notes which absolutely make my day and provide the motivation to keep pouring my time and heart into my little venture.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Until next time,

Jemima xx
