Our Story

Cotswold Fox is a UK-based clothing brand, founded in 2021, offering quality casual country wear for men and women. From quarter zips and gilets to knitwear and shorts. Our clothing is designed in the Cotswolds and made for everywhere.
I was extremely lucky to grow up in the Cotswolds countryside with my family and SO many animals! I was first plonked on a pony at age 4 by my mum, who has ridden all her life, and I quickly became obsessed with riding and horses.

I started to compete in Showjumping and Eventing as soon as I was old enough. I was totally hooked on the adrenaline rush and the special partnership you build with your horse.

I started Cotswold Fox in 2021, whilst I was studying a degree in Business at the Royal Agricultural University and one of my assignments was to put together a business plan for a start-up of our choice.

At the time, I was Eventing at international level and was a brand ambassador for several equestrian clothing labels.

 I couldn’t really find anything I could wear for both training and on campus at lectures, it also had to be great quality and affordable for a student! That’s when the idea of Cotswold Fox was born.

 I chose the name based on the gorgeous place I lived in, and combined it with the name of my beloved pony I’d had since the age of 12 (who we still have today) who is called Brakefield Firefox, or Foxy for short.

I then googled ‘how to start a clothing brand’ and that was the beginning of Cotswold Fox. I designed a logo on Word and put together the first website using Shopify’s free trial.

I finished my degree later that year and got my first job working at a global law firm, based in Cheltenham and London, to make ends meet whilst I was growing Cotswold Fox.

Building a brand and working full-time wasn’t easy (to say the least!), but 2 years later I was able to leave my job to run my business and I haven’t looked back

I’m so proud that we now have the most amazing close-knit team of staff. We’re stocked in over 25 UK stores, have pop-up shops at some of the most famous English countryside and sporting events and have a catalogue of 60+ products.

Cotswold Fox is my absolute favourite thing, and I wouldn’t be able to do what I love without you all, our wonderful customers!
